Brownhouse provided conceptual planning and interior design services for renovating the historic Red Brick Schoolhouse for the Gorman & Company Corporate Headquarters. This project received the 2008 Commercial Design Award for Renovation – Office from InBusiness magazine. The client’s corporate culture is evident in the emphasis on levity, with a 50s style diner as the staff lunchroom, the preservation of the school’s basketball court and a full-service bar lounge area for relaxation. This was achieved without compromising the original features of this historic building.
